Chris Canavan is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Temecula Prep. Very tall young build with especially long limbs. Works from the stretch with a shorter arm action and a high 3/4's arm slot, creates good angle when working down in the zone. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with nice life down in the zone. Showed some feel for a big sweeping breaking ball in the mid-60's, developing change up. Has good upside potential with his size, strength potential and being left handed. Excellent student.
