Michael Walshe is a 2023 OF/C with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from San Clemente, CA who attends Capistrano Valley. Medium build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, simple and repeatable timer and trigger, high contact approach with an accurate barrel, hits to all fields with a line drive approach, strength gives him some jump off the barrel. Primary catcher on defense, has compact actions behind the plate with good lower half quickness, strong fundamental base to his actions, compact arm action with developing arm strength. Also played the outfield. Good student.
