Owen Platts is a 2022 3B/SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Concord, NC who attends Concord. Strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a simple and repeatable set of swing mechanics, short consistent stride into contact, uses his strong hands to drive his swing and keep his swing short and direct, line drive swing plane, works middle of the field to pull side with good present bat speed. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Corner infield tools on defense, feet work well moving to the ball, shows some raw arm strength across the diamond, still working on consistency with his throwing mechanics. Bat has a chance to play. Excellent student.
