Colton Smith is a 2026 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Medium athletic build with some length and projection. Primary first baseman on defense, has athletic actions and active feet, throws from a low slot and makes accurate throws, has confident and sure actions, asset on defense at first base. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow and open stance, stays on his back side with a short up hill swing, has some strength when squared up. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a high leg raise start and an over the top arm action, has some energy into release. Worked in the upper 70's with his fastball and did a good job of throwing strikes once he calmed down his delivery. Curveball showed some promise with some downer action that hitters didn't recognize. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
