Lucas Banner is a 2025 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Richland Hills, TX who attends Birdville. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, simple operation on the mound, leg lift just up past belt with a coil at top and gathers over rubber, controls long levers well and shows quickness to arm action through the backside. Fastball topped out at 80 mph and worked comfortably in the upper-70s, projects for more velocity moving forward and did a nice job of working around the zone. Stays short through the backside and works to a three-quarters release point. Mixed both a curveball with short shape up to 67 mph and a changeup at 75 mph with showed really low spin rates through the zone, feel to pitch and mix. Rounds the ball well in the outfield, gathers behind it and tends to slow momentum into release,, ball comes out of hands cleanly, cuts off with front side some, shows accuracy with present arm strength. Right-handed hitter, simple mechanics in the box and shows quickness to hands going through the zone. Shows ability to generate some present back spin to the middle of the field, gets the barrel out front and shows consistency. Tends to open front side early and get uphill with path but shows nice carry off of the barrel when on time and squared. Excellent student. Named to South Central Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
