Jaden Groome is a 2022 C/3B with a 6-0 156 lb. frame from Arlington, VA who attends Bishop O'Connell HS. Jaden is an emerging player who shows a solid fundamental base and a frame that can add both size and strength as he continues through his HS career. In addition to being a promising prospect on the diamond, Jaden is also a standout in the classroom. He ran a 7.72 60 yard dash. A primary catcher, Jaden has all the makings of being a solid HS catcher who could, with continued improvement, be a prospect for the next level. He sets up in a comfortable stance with a low profile. He shows quick and consistent actions to receive and gains ground well. His quick trigger allows his 68 mph throws to have firm carry to the bag. His 2.14 pop time is made better by and through his quick actions and his accuracy. At the plate, Jaden uses his longer frame to create noticeable leverage with his swing path. He keeps his hands inside the ball well and utilizes a toe tap load to trigger his swing. When his timing is right, he can strike the baseball. There is a lot to like in Jaden's game. Higher level experience and exposure will certainly aide in his development.
