Donovan Smith is a 2024 OF/1B/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Churchill. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes to the ball aggressively, fields the ball off to the side, has a long and loose arm with some carry to his throws, made very accurate throws and repeated his actions well. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with an aggressive move into contact and a hand drop load to start his swing, has some hand quickness and develops some bat speed, showed good lift in his swing, the barrel was accurate during the games and he showed nice gap to gap power. Good athlete who will keep improving as he gets stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
