Elijah Edwards is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Sharpsburg, GA who attends East Coweta. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Side step delivery with a high leg raise start, very long arm action in back with an extended 3/4's arm slot coming through, lands on a stiff front leg with some cross fire angle to the plate. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Most effective when he was mixing his pitches, change up is a good pitch for him with good arm speed and some deception, stays on top of his curveball consistently and gets some biting action. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound, carries momentum into his throws well with athletic footwork and a quick release, made accurate one-hop throws with good on line carry. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with an aggressive lower half shift into contact, has some bat speed and made solid pull line drive contact when he didn't get too far out front. Good overall athlete with a balance of tools.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
