Chevez Hairston is a 2028 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Saint Johns, FL who attends Bartram Trail. Medium build with good present strength for his age. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, squares off his stance well into his swing, swings hard and creates bat speed, hit the ball hard to all fields and got very nice jump when turning the barrel and pulling, interesting young hitter. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, still developing his footwork and glove position coming through the ball, arm works well with a long and clean arm swing, makes accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, has a low leg raise delivery with a short arm takeaway, 3/4's arm action, gets on top of the ball well at release. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 73 mph, gets good sinking action down in the zone. Also threw a curveball with some depth that got a swing/miss. Good young athlete who should keep improving.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
