Evan Pant is a 2021 3B/1B, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Calhoun. Medium, broad shouldered frame with long limbs and present strength to frame, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, short steps moving towards the ball and can continue to refine footwork, works to an over-the-top release point with a longer arm stroke through the back, shows carry on throws out of hand. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing and can continue to incorporate additional lower half. Keeps hands inside the ball, looks to lift with swing plane through the zone, uses strength and shows carry off the barrel, occasionally gets around the ball at contact. Very good student.
