2023 WWBA Workout Showcase (Wed)
Landon Towns is a 2025 SS/C, OF with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Lake Highland Preparatory. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves around well on feet and works through the ball, higher slot on throws across the diamond, shows some arm strength and carry on to first base, will continue to refine a consistent release point; also worked out behind the plate, lower set up, comes through the ball and gains ground with lower half, arm plays, occasionally gets under it at release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a square stance in the box and some barrel wrap at start. Incorporates physical strength well and shows jump off of the barrel when squared up and on time, 86 mph exit velocity in testing, shows no problem barreling balls down in the zone, quickness to barrel through zone. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
