EJ Garcia is a 2024 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Oak. Ran a 7.74-second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a compact frame and medium build. Starts from the windup with a simple side step to a leg lift that reaches just above the belt. Has a controlled delivery, staying methodical and landing online. Hides the ball well, with a short arm action and developing arm speed from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball flashes the occasional arm-side run at 72-75 miles per hour, with developing feel for the strike zone. Shows some developing feel to land a curveball with 11-5 shape and some depth through the zone in the low-60s, flashing a straight changeup at 65 miles per hour as well. Also worked out in the infield, fielding out front with a smooth transfer and good glove actions. Makes accurate throws across the diamond with young arm strength up to 78 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter that starts from a tall and even stance, firing the hips well with present bat speed through the zone. Has a slightly lifted barrel plane, executing a middle of the field to pull-side approach with some present power. Swings with intent and has a mature approach, will continue to improve as the frame continues to mature.
