2021 Sunshine Texas Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Jayden Rodriguez is a 2023 2B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Pflugerville, TX who attends Hendrickson. Ran a 7.31 60 yard dash. On the mound, throws from a high 3/4 slot and stays closed during the delivery. Throws pretty effortlessly and pitches to contact well. His fastball was up to 79 MPH and had running life to it. Showed a good curveball that was around 71 MPH with 11/5 break. Smooth fielding reactions in the infield. Athleticism plays well up the middle with good glove actions. Short swing at the plate with little pre-pitch movement. The swing has some natural lift to it and has a pull-heavy approach. Great student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
