Joshua Olivo is a 2024 2B/SS with a 5-7 162 lb. frame from Hockley, TX who attends Tomball. He ran a 7.81 second sixty. A primary infielder with a stocky build showing some strength in the lower half. On the infield he presents the glove early and out front fielding the ball stationary and gains little ground into the throws, showed above average arm strength. Behind the plate he makes compact movements getting to a good base out of the crouch and getting the ball into throwing hand cleanly with with a shorter arm action, recorded a 2.14 second pop time that will improve with arm strength. Right-handed hitter, starts even showing flashes of bat speed with the ability to create some leverage at the point of contact, the swing is easily repeated allowing the barrel to play out front as he showed good feel for contact hitting balls to all parts of the yard. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
