Anson Aroz is a 2021 C/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Auburn, CA who attends Placer. Medium athletic build. 7.03 runner. Very athletic behind the plate defensively, has quick actions and moves very well side to side, big arm strength with carry and accuracy, excellent release, chance to be an elite level catcher defensively. Switch-hitter, more advanced at present from the right side, has a simple rotational swing right handed from an even start, gets the barrel out well with solid line drive contact. Left handed swing is choppier with an open front side, although there is hand quickness. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
