Rory O'Connor is a 2024 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 202 lb. frame from Cocoa Beach, FL who attends Cocoa Beach. A taller frame with a bigger build. Had some strength and physicality to the build. Ran a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who took to the mound working from the wind-up with a side step into his leg lift up around the letters. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot. He moves down the mound and lets it rip with the fastball working 76-78 T80 mph, pairing it with a changeup that had some depth to it in the low-70s. He also showed a curveball with 11/5 shape to it. A right-handed hitter with high hands and high back elbow. Has a real physical look to him in the box with some juice off the barrel. Strong swing with a consistent round during BP. He drove the ball well in the air, with it coming of at 81 mph. Also worked out as an outfielder, fielding the ball off to the side of the front foot. Works with a lower slot on throws with quick feet and a bigger frame overall. Kept the throws on a lower flight at 80 mph from the outfield. Worked out as an infielder as well, showing an extended release at 77 mph. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
