Tanner Barfield is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends The Kings Academy. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.11 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, begins delivery with a high leg lift at start, works to a lower three-quarters slot and is able to create running and sinking life on fastball up to 77 mph. Showed command of heater to arm side, mixed a curveball up to 63 mph with sluvey shape through the zone. Tends to lower slot on release of changeup, creates depth to the pitch up to 71 mph and is able to miss bats with both changeup and curveball. Similar slot on throws from the outfield, fuller arm action through the back, delivery footwork on the approach to the ball. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, rotational swing and occasionally opens front side early in process. Contact oriented approach and able to work to all field with comfort while handling the barrel.
