Grant Miller is a 2024 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee Northwest. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a drop and drive delivery with lower half, tends to land closed and work across body; short and quick arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, slight effort at release. Creates nice extension out front, clean operation which he repeats well; fastball topped out at 83 mph and showed heavy running life while filling up the strike zone. Curveball showed 12-6 shape up to 63 mph, will continue to tighten the pitch when thrown with maintained arm speed. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and utilizes a short stride moving into contact; maintains balance well and creates extension out front. Can incorporate additional lower half into swing,, contact oriented approach with additional pop to unlock moving forward. Very good student.
