Gage Upthegrove is a 2009 LHP/1B with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Bartow, FL who attends Bartow HS. Slender athletic build, slope shoulders, very projectable P body, long limbs. Mid 3/4 arm slot, easy velo, decetive FB up to 86 with late life, more velo to come, 2-8 SL and feel for CH. Opposite field approach at plate, centers well, open stance with high hand set, relaxed in box. Good target at 1B, hands work, good transfer and release, good student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.
