Matson Lopata is a 2025 2B/RHP, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from West Hills, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Smaller compact build. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Utility player with some fundamental footwork and accurate throwing arm from the outfield. Patient approach in the infield with some footwork around the ball, developing glove actions and an average throwing arm. At the plate showed an opposite field approach, linear bat path through the zone and some feel for the barrel with developing strength in his swing. On the mound he was fastball/curveball out of a high three-quarter slot. Fastball was in the mid 70's and located around the zone. The curve showed depth on its vertical break, a pitch he has a feel to spin.
