Carter Klein is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Chester, NJ who attends West Morris Mendham. Recorded a 7.22 second 60-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a high-waist frame and solid build. Good reads on approach with fundamental gather gather to exchange and short arm stroke on throws. Quick release after gather with accurate throws to the bases up to 81 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher working exclusively from the stretch position. Closed feet starting point with low hands set. Hands raising to high chest with higher leg lift and quick arm swing to 3/4 arm slot getting down the slope. Direct line to the plate with drop and drive delivery and fastball up to 81 mph (1930 RPM). Slider with tilt in the mid-70s (20295 RPM) and a changeup around 72 mph (1459) for a three-pitch mix. Right-handed hitter with a balanced stance and hands away from body near back shoulder. Weight shift to backside with knee-lift trigger stride and deep load. Rotational path through the zone with strength in frame and impact to the pull side. Strong base setup with bat speed through the zone. Good student.
