Easton Negron is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Herriman HS. Slender young build with lots of physical projection. Simple turn and throw mechanics on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and easy with a low effort release. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, lots of potential for future velocity gains with additional strength, mostly straight. Short slurve type breaking ball with good shape. Threw about 70% strikes while mixing his pitches and challenged hitters, going to be a plus command pitcher with his present mechanics. 7.53 runner, works through the ball well in the outfield and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, loads onto his back side well with a big leg raise load, deep barred load, swings hard, long and loose swing with the beginnings of some bat speed, has some lift in his swing and drove a few to the pull side gap. Good student.
