Steve Solorzano is a 2023 3B/RHP/C with a 6-0 192 lb. frame from Las Cruces, NM who attends Las Cruces. Strong athletic build. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman, comes to the ball well, has mature footwork and an active and well balanced lower half, throws well on the move and from different arm slots, throws have good carry. Also worked out behind the plate as a catcher. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a rock back and in swing approach, lift and replace front leg stride, has strength in his swing and gets jump off the barrel, showed the ability to control his swing, gets nice extension when he's letting the barrel hunt and pulling the ball. Solid all around player. Good student, verbal commitment to New Mexico State. Named to the WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
