2022 Miami Prospect Showcase
Jael Hernandez is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Monarch. Recorded a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a long, lanky frame. Worked through the baseball well and displayed quickness to the feet. Showed good arm strength, up to 86 mph across the infield, and the ability to make throws from different arm slots. As a right-handed hitter, he starts with his hands high and a high back elbow. Creates extension out front and rotates the hips well. Bat speed will continue to develop as he adds strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher who topped out at 86 mph. Loose, whippy arm action. Releases from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball missed bats, showing heavy life and tailing action. Flashed a slider with sweeping action that tunneled nicely with the fastball. Solid two-way potential. Named to the 2022 Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
