Austin Allen is a 2023 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Northwest Rankin. He ran a 7.53 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a stocky build. In the outfield he waits back on the ball fielding it on the side as he works into a longer gather with a shuffle into his accurate throws from a lower arm slot. On the mound he starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift as he sits into the back leg with drop and drive actions coming down the hill. The arm actions works short through the back with developing arm speed up to a three-quarters arm slot with the fastball sitting 72-78 mph, he also mixed in a mid 60's breaking ball that has the potential for even more bite as he counties to refine the pitch. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base showcasing a simple approach with feel for the barrel as he swings down hill to the baseball with projectable bat speed. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
