Shayne Salvesen is a 2021 RHP/SS, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Old Bridge, NJ who attends Old Bridge. Medium frame with present strength and good projection; ran 40 yard dash in 4.73 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, simple side step to balance, low hand break with inward leg lift, long and loose arm stroke to three quarters slot, fastball worked 78-84 mph with good arm side life, hard-biting slider with depth and tilt, also flashed a changeup. Showed well defensively, good footwork laterally in the infield with clean hands, clocked up to 86 mph on throws. Also threw 88 mph from the outfield. Hits from even-based stance with leg lift trigger, double tap on front side, sinks into hips well, can jump the ball on line when complex movements are timed up. Excellent student, named to 2020 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
