Aaden Anderson is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-6 127 lb. frame from Greenacres, WA who attends Central Valley. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to develop and fill physically throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, side step moving into a medium leg lift at start, slight hip coil at top; quick arm stroke through the back working to a three-quarters release and does a nice job of filling up the strike zone. Short running life to fastball and topped out at 72 mph, creates some angle from landing slightly closed with strike foot; worked the corners well with fastball and mixed in a curveball up to 63 mph with 1-7 shape and short depth. Moves well towards the ball in the outfield with short and quick steps and repeats actions well, gets low and fields out front, full arm stroke with an extended slot, maintains momentum through release. Athleticism plays at first base, fields out front with a wide base, can drop arm slot on throws with intent, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Gets closed with front side moving into contact, stays short to the ball and shows a linear path through the zone. Can keep weight back longer prior to shift, contact oriented approach and able to work to all fields with a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
