Ryan Maggy is a 2024 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Peru, NY who attends Peru. Broad shouldered athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has good lower half actions and agility, glove tends to get down late at times, good arm strength with some carry across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a high back elbow load, rotational swing with a pull and lift approach, pretty simple in his load and trigger, has some strength and jump off the barrel when squared up. Took a turn on the mound, gets turned well over the rubber, throws somewhat cross body out front with a 3/4's arm slot, pretty low effort mechanics he repeats well. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph with nice sink and run at times. Showed good feel for landing his curveball and change up. Good student, verbal commitment to West Virginia.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
