Joey Desiderio is a 2023 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Hudson, FL who attends River Ridge. Lean athletic frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.87 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works a long and deliberate delivery using a quick arm through an over the top slot to create some run to the arm side on the fastball while staying in the zone and mixing in feel for a bigger breaking ball. Also worked out in the outfield, showed athletic movements and a loose arm that generated low and accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield with similar movements ranging to the spot well to either side. Right-handed hitter, sets up even, works short and inside the ball, has developing feel for the barrel while generating contact to the back side. Great student.
