2022 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Ellis Reid is a 2023 OF/MIF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Jersey City, NJ who attends St. Peter's Prep. Working exclusively from his primary OF spot, Reid showed plenty of athleticism with smooth transfers and clean mechanics that produced velo up to 80 mph out of the hand. Reid was direct to the ball and carried momentum well, consistently keeping throws low and on target. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow stance with a big leg lift trigger to pepper the pull side of the field with carry and backspin. As the barrel control refines, power potential could get to dangerous levels for Reid, posting an exit velo of 83 mph. Ran a 4.85 forty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
