Riley Poppe is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends West Forsyth. High-waisted athletic build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, showed clean hands out front and worked through the backhand well. Has enough arm strength to play right now recording throws up to 84 mph. Showed some good movement laterally especially while ranging to his glove side. Also pitched, works from a full windup and gathers himself nicely over the rubber. Stays stacked and patient with the front side resulting in some separation. Up to 82 mph with the fastball, showed good sink and run to the arm side. Could also spin a mid-70s slider in with some tilt and short depth. Has the body and movement patterns to have a future on the mound. Right-handed hitter, works from a wider base and was able to impact it hard to the pull side. Real simple operation and was able to get timed up. Good overall athlete with a solid skillset. Added strength will really let his actions shine as he continues to progress. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
