Mason Graves is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Haymarket, VA who attends Battlefield. Posted a 7.54 in the 60 yard dash. Strong build athlete fits the part at 3B, showed good foot work and moved around very well. Smooth lower half compensates for stiff upper half mechanics. Has longer arm action in the infield, makes the glove work and plays through. Executes plays fundamentally, there is some looseness to discover as he progresses his tools. Also pitched, the right hander topped the fastball out at 76 mph and flashed a soft breaking ball that lands in the zone consistently. Some upside to his skill set, he fills up the zone and generates soft contacts. Releases a high 3/4 arm slot, occasional falls off the delivery. Should develop in leaps on the mound tightening up the mechanics. Right handed hitter, spread athletic stance with a high hand set to start. Playable swing, does a good job getting a full swing across and running into contact with the barrel out front. High bat to ball skill with low impact for now, room to add strength to his hitting. Big backside collapse but controls the barrel fine, worked his best contact up the middle. Has time to put some good pieces together. Good student.
