Jose Simon-Aguirre is a 2024 OF/C, UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Salpointe Catholic high school. Features a strong, compact athletic build. A primary outfielder that catches as well. Simon-Aguirre was standout all weekend. Started off the event clocking a fast 6.87 60-yard dash. Jose was barreling up balls all over the field and it carried over to the game portion. His quick hand/bat speed and the use of his lower half helps generate power from the ground up. Defensively his athleticism plays at both positions where he shows solid actions with quick feet and crisp transfers. The arm is quick, accurate with carry to the bases. Top prospect. High follow.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
