Ethan Lytle is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Lincoln University, PA who attends Archbishop John Carroll. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with plenty of room to develop physically. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, smooth and balanced delivery and does a nice job of repeating mechanics; side step moving into a high leg lift with a long arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release. Lands closed with strike foot, low effort delivery and topped out at 74 mph with fastball, filled the zone and projects for more velocity with additional strength. Straight changeup at 67 mph was an effective pitch, landed curveball for strikes and will continue to refine the pitch. Mixed nicely and kept hitters off balance. Long strides with quickness moving to the ball in the outfield, fields the ball out front and remains balanced, clean arm action through release. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open and relaxed stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Simple leg lift trigger for timing, contact oriented approach and shows quickness to hands. Stays short to the ball, battles at the plate, higher finish through the ball at point of contact and can work to the opposite field. Excellent student.
