Vinnie Rodriguez is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Norco, CA who attends Norco HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.40 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with short stride into swing, middle-field approach with quick hands through the zone, showed ability to spray liners to all fields. Primary shortstop, fields deep with a higher funnel, shows solid footwork to both sides and comes through the ball okay, showed accuracy across the diamond. Also pitched, high leg lift with hip coil at balance, longer arm stroke through the back to high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 74-75 mph with arm side run, showed ability to throw curveball for strikes.
