Aidan Nelson is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-11 154 lb. frame from Boynton Beach, FL who attends Park Vista Community. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with a high waist and plenty of projection remaining. Primary left-handed pitcher with good rhythm and tempo throughout his delivery, creating loads of deception from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Confident demeanor, pounds the strike zone with fastball early, while showing the ability to command both sides of the plate effectively. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 77 mph in this look with heavy arm-side run. Mixed in sharp 2-8 shaped breaking ball that flashes both sweeping and downer action to it. Proficient strike thrower with deceptive delivery that will continue to improve as he gains more velocity. High upside on the mound. Secondary outfielder with aggressive actions into the fielding process, fielding properly out in front and gathering cleanly into the throwing motion. Maintains momentum through release, working slightly uphill to throw from a lower arm slot. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from wide, even based stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Contact oriented swing with developing bat-to-ball skills and inside hand path. Middle-of-the field approach with line drive barrel plane and the ability to turn the barrel on the inner-half. Young, projectable prospect with solid present fundamentals, will continue to improve as he matures and adds strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
