2023 WWBA Workout Showcase (Sat)
Mario Magana is a 2025 SS/1B, 2B, 3B, MIF, IF, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends G. Holmes Braddock. Extremely projectable long and athletic build with present strength in both halves of the body. Ran a 6.43 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, violent actions with good hands to both sides, lateral mobility and body coordination present, solid round overall, developing arm strength right now with a short and violent release. Switch-hitter, took one of the most explosive rounds of batting practice at the event, legitimate gifted bat speed, leverages it out front with a natural ability to lift the baseball to all fields, easy impact and strength off the barrel, comes off the stick different, launched multiple homeruns in this round with a max exit velocity of 100-mph, controlled violence, can swing it from both sides, very loud stuff here. Raked at the WWBA as well with six extra base hits and two homeruns, upper echelon prospect with a high ceiling. Outstanding student with a 4.6 GPA. Named to the 2023 WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
