2003 Sunshine East Showcase
Alberto is an interesting 2005 RHP. He has a free and easy delivery and competes out on the mound. He is not afraid to pitch inside and go after the hitters. He has a big 6'4/225 pitchers frame. His fastball was consistently in the low 80's topping out at 82. He changes his arm angle at times dropping down on his curveball. He has a 12-6 curve which is good at times but needs more consistency. He also showed a decent change at 71 mph. We think he could add some mph if he toned up his body a bit. He has lots of potential.
