Chris Betler is a 2021 SS with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Ellicott City, MD who attends Centennial. Nice athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a low hand set, short stride into contact, can use his lower half strength more to help create bat speed, mid field line drive approach with good bat speed, projects well as a hitter. Good runner, 6.82 in the sixty. Has athletic actions in the middle infield, moves well side to side, makes accurate throws, profiles as a second baseman at the next level. Very good student. Named to the Coastal Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
