Devonte Bailey is a 2022 OF/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from West Babylon, NY who attends North Babylon. Medium, athletic looking frame with lean muscle throughout and some quick twitch. Primary outfielder with aggressive approach into the fielding process, a clean gather off his front foot and carries some momentum into release by using a higher crow-hop. Recorded fairly accurate throws up to 67 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates slight weight shift into contact, gets to front side early and exhibits rotational lower half movements to get the barrel moving. Hands driven swing with slightly downhill swing path, some feel for the barrel and compact hand speed. Pullside approach with occasional line drives when on-time and in-sync, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and sequencing. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
