2022 PG Underclass All-American Games
Kyle Lockhart is a 2024 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Has a flexible high leg raise delivery on the mound, on line mechanics with good extension out front. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-80's, gets on hitters quickly, commands his fastball well and pitches to spots. Slider is his best pitch, creates tight spin and sharp break, can add and subtract from the slider and has advanced feel for the pitch. Also flashed a nice change up that should develop well for him. All the ingredients in place as a pitcher except for physical strength and the velocity that will come with it. Good athlete with 6.67 speed in the sixty from the Junior National, moves well in the outfield with good routes and direction through the ball. Switch-hitter at the plate with a similar swing from both sides, has a short and under control line drive swing approach, manipulates the barrel well and can hit to all fields with some ability left handed to shoot the gaps. Good student, verbal commitment to Oklahoma.
