Leonardo Moncada is a 2024 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from Pompano Beach, FL who attends Florida Virtual. An extra larger frame with a bigger build and strength present. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who sets up with a slightly open setup. Comes out of the crouch and lets the throws go with a short arm action. Firm throws that were accurate in the air to second base. Threw 77 mph down to second with a 2.03 pop time. Also worked out as an infielder. Waits back on the ball with deliberate movements. Throws from a higher slot. Throws were at 82 mph during his round. A left-handed hitter who has a strong box presence and a slightly open start. Has high-set hands and a high back elbow. Turns it over well and was able to leverage the ball through contact. Approach that pairs well with juice and he's able to execute. Solid round of BP. Produced an 88 mph exit velocity. Also took to the mound as a left-handed pitcher. Had uptempo and high-energy actions on the mound. Controls his body well moving down the slope. Fastball was up to 84 mph with some life through the zone. Uptempo delivery added some deception. Flashed a shorter depth curveball in the mix as well. Threw strikes to both sides of the plate. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
