Randy Vega is a 2024 C/2B, 3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends ESB Academy. Ran a 8.24 second sixty. Primary catcher with a tick build. Behind the dish he sits comfortable int he stance presenting a low target and receiving the ball with soft hands. Moves into he throws with some quickness in the feet getting rid of the ball on time with average arm strength recording a 2.03 second pop time. Showed the same soft hands on the infield with some feel for the glove. Has developing accuracy across the infield but the arm strength is average from a shorter arm action. Right-handed hitter, showed a quiet load with a good weight shift into contact generating his power from the ground up with a strong base. Does a nice job keeping the barrel on plane through the hitting zone with good overall direction to the swing. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
