2020 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Noah Couch is a 2022 OF/RHP, UT with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. He showed good speed with a 6.84 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a medium lean build with room to fill in the frame moving forward. In the outfield he works through the ball well into an online crow hop with a high three-quarters release showing good arm strength at 88 mph in to the bases. On the mound he works with good tempo from teh first base side of teh rubber. Showed a full arm action working to a three-quarters arm slot with good extension out front on the release. He attacks hitters early in counts with his fastball that sat 81-85 mph with heavy arm side run, showed a curveball as his secondary offering with 10-4 shape and limited depth but effective in the zone, showed developing feel on a straight changeup in the mid to upper 70's with good arm speed while staying around the zone. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with an upright open stance, showed intent in the swing path with good bat speed and a good under standing of how to use his lower half to generate power when the front side stays strong with some juice to the gaps. Named to the 2020 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospects List. Excellent student.
