Isaac Hobbs is a 2024 C/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Arlington, VA who attends Yorktown. Current athletic frame with symmetrical build and good muscle tone. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds. Primary position C, working from a low, game like set and showing good lower half quickness. Glove work is solid, securing the ball well and giving the umpire a good look at pitches. Gets on top of throws well, creating good backspin and carry to the bag. Repeatable mechanics and produced velocity of 74 mph and a pop time best of 1.97 seconds. Threw out runner with ease in game play. RHH working from a narrow stance and slightly open to start. High hand set and high back elbow with a toe tap trigger. Emerging overall hand strength and bat speed. Some timing issues will be worked out with reps and will lead to more consistent power in the gaps. Bat showed well in game action with 3B in the left centerfield. Outstanding student and well rounded prospect.
