Parker Smith is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Liberty Lake, WA who attends Central Valley. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows nice rhythm and tempo to delivery; lower leg lift just below belt during gather point and shows a full and quick arm action through the back. Works on top of fastball well, topped out at 81 mph with occasional running life to his arm side, works over front side well at release, occasionally lands closed with strike foot. Showed a feel for three pitches, maintains arm speed nicely on changeup up to 74 mph and showed tight rotation on curveball with 12-6 shape when on top with depth. Moves well on feet in the field and works around the ball, fields the ball close to body, moves well going up the middle, accurate across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow stance in the box and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Employs a leg lift trigger for timing, upper body dominant swing and utilizes a middle of the field approach. Shorter swing path and stays inside the ball, shows quickness to hands, can incorporate additional lower half into swing. Very good student.
