Diego Garza Suarez is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 5-7 154 lb. frame from Monterrey, Mexico who attends Tecnologico de Monterrey. Medium, broad shouldered build with present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran an 8.32 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a leg lift up to belt with occasional pause at top, strides open coming down the mound but incorporates lower half to drive down the mound and remains online through finish; quick arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Found consistent release point through outing, topped out at 80 mph with plane when on top, occasional life to arm side and filled the zone. Developing feel for curveball, tends to slow at release on pitch, creates shape up to 59 mph. Works to a similar over-the-top release point in the infield, third base actions, works on top of throws, shorter steps to the ball, will continue to refine actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; shifts well moving into contact and rotates hips well while remaining balanced. Creates torque, worked to the middle and opposite fields with jump off of the barrel, swings with intent and repeats mechanics, tools project well.
