Raymond Ladd is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-6 240 lb. frame from Blacksburg, VA who attends Blacksburg. Very large frame with present strength to build. Ran a 7.62 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts with a short side step into a mid-high leg lift, quick arm action through a three-quarters arm slot, gets the fastball on hitters quick and mixes in a good tight slider with depth and horizontal bite out of the same arm slot and feel for a changeup. Also worked out at first base with fundamental actions, short arm action with some strength across. Righthanded hitter, sets up with an open stance, longer swing path with developing feel for the barrel. Great student. Named to 2020 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
