Kyle Duffey is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Norman, OK who attends Norman. Large frame with long limbs and present strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball produced good downhill angle through the zone with running action to arm side, topped at 85 miles per hour. Displayed good feel for fastball and consistently located to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Curveball had 11/5 to near 12/6 shape with tight spin and late depth in the upper 60's. Consistently looked to attack hitters and get ahead with fastball offering before changing speeds late in counts with breaking ball. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions and pick up and worked through transition with loose exchange. Created uphill carry to the bag while releasing from a three-quarters slot, topped at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a tall, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Flashed some hand quickness with jump off the barrel when squared. Primarily looked to work the ball to the gaps showing developing feel for the barrel. Named to the 2018 Ohio Valley Prospect, Top Prospect List.
