Dominic Hurley is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Cary, NC who attends Home School. Shorter compact build with some present strength. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic actions to the ball and fields the ball out front well, deep arm action in back, has some carry on his throws, tends to fly open early with his front side. Also worked out in the infield, does a nice job of working low behind the ball and moving his feet, athletic actions, has good raw arm strength but tends to throw open just as he does in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, loads his weight back to start his swing and tends to stay on his back side, short inside swing path, has some strength at contact but will need to get to his front side more consistently. Also pitched, has compact mechanics from a side step start, medium length arm stroke to a high 3/4's slot, has some deception to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with good ride up in the zone, also threw a mid-70's downer curveball and threw strikes with both pitches. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
